Our story, our journey, and our present!

UM Yesterday

Unveiled Ministries (UM) of old was founded in February 1997 by the late Apostle Donald C. Ruff with the help of his wife then, Sharon Ruff, and a small Board of Directors.  UM of yesterday was an evangelistic ministry whose goal was to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by way of a professionally printed magazine called Unveiled, which was positioned at the exit doors of large grocery stores like Ultra and Cub Foods along with other free reading materials. The production of Unveiled was quarterly and was funded by the Ruffs, the Board of Directors, and a few generous donors who believed in Unveiled Ministries!

UM of yesterday would from time to time conduct small evangelistic crusades with services being held at inactive local churches who longed for the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which the founder, Apostle Donald C. Ruff could do quite well, for he was a powerful, prolific preacher of TRUTH, which was and is our foundation for God’s word is true! Psalms 119:160

At the onset of Unveiled Ministry’s formal incorporation, it was noted in the vision that a future church (the name was given prophetically) would likewise be birthed from this ministry.   That church was birthed in October of 2000 and was named Word & Truth Church (WTC) with Donald C. Ruff as Pastor and began with 18 founding members, which one by the name of Dr. Margaret Eason, still resides under the umbrella of UM.  Upon the Pastor’s death, being his choice for succession and by God’s command, Apostle Sharon succeeded his Pastorate and was installed as the new Pastor of Word & Truth Church.   That church operated for 14 years and then merged itself with another church and became the Empowerment Word & Truth Church (EWTC) and operated again under the umbrella of UM for an additional five years before it was dismantled for greater effectiveness, as UM ALWAYS calls for greatness and purpose!

Unveiled Ministries has ALWAYS been “an umbrella” that allowed Kingdom Business to operate with a myriad of assumed names, extensions of ministries like Sweet Rose of Sharon Women’s Ministry (SRS), and churches all in the name of Jesus Christ as long as it operated in the truth of God’s word!

Unveiled Today

Unveiled Ministries today RESUMES its longevity in NAME and KINGDOM WORK/STANCE and POSITIONING in the church universal.  Our 22 years of being instrumental in “Uncovering the riches of God’s truth” yet remains our motto!  Now with the recent command of God to the Co-Founder, Apostle Sharon Peters-Ruff to create her circle of RESUME, Unveiled Ministries was at the top of the list to “take back” in vision and present the ministry as the NEW CHURCH in NAME, PRESENCE, BUILDING and WORK!  UM is now on the cutting edge as the new church emerges with greater effectiveness and reaches in work beyond a church building!

Unveiled Ministries is now a local Church HUB where Corporate Worship Services are held weekly on the Far South Side of Chicago where the word of God is preached, taught and the wealth of God’s word is uncovered with revelation.  The UM Hub offers A School of Wisdom where knowledge and wisdom are shared with great precision causing a greater understanding of God’s word to be used for application in life and living!  However, now we are a church beyond the walls due to the crisis of the pandemic and we are expanding and broadening our borders!  To God Be The Glory!

UM’s focus is not on church membership, but is on “discipleship”.  UM, is a “healthy” Hub and it’s a (safe place) to house souls to be healed, delivered, and saved.   The word of God mounts in UM providing Believers a good place for “feeding and nourishment” in the things of God.

UM is also attractive to 5-Fold Ministry Leaders to be fed likewise and grow, to stay relevant and up to date in the things of the Kingdom, to sojourn during transitions in ministry, to hear their NEXT, to be trained and raised up while being equipped to be Front Line Leaders within the Kingdom themselves!

The UM Church of today promotes families, sheep tending, along with righteousness (and right living), relationship, and fellowship, which is PARTNERSHIP! We likewise promote “moral clarity”, faith that transcends cultural diversity, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost along with supernatural demonstration and the manifestation of God’s power!

UM of YESTERDAY has kissed with the UM of TODAY to make for THE NEW CHURCH that is in step with God’s plan for NOW and the days to come!

Unveiled Ministries is ready, willing, and equipped to receive in the end-time harvest and to fulfill the great commission in accordance with Mark 16:15 and therefore the Legacy continues!
